Sunnyvale offers a variety of housing options most of which are known to be more affordable than other Silicon Valley communities. The city’s real estate choices consist primarily of single-family homes, many of which offer lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Some condos and townhouses can also be found.
Most single-family homes have attached garages and some also include fireplaces, swimming pools, hot tubs and other luxury amenities. Many of them are of the Victorian, ranch or contemporary styles.
Between 2005 and 2006, the average sales price of a single family home or condominium increased by 18.5%. In February 2005, the average sales price was $698,894, and in February 2006 that number rose to $828,388.
